Just wanted to ask around.  I was unable to attend the fireworks.  How were they?  They sounded like they lasted about 1/2 hour?  15 minutes later, I heard another round of fireworks, that sounded like it was coming out of South End, with a grand finale and everything?????  This would have been around 10pm????  I had to get up  early, so, I was in bed.  My wife got up to look to see what was going on, but, she's not awake yet.  Please share any information that you have.  Like Tlou says, inquiring minds want to know.........Shackman.

Well, one year Charles Potter tape recorded them and played part of the tape on the Muscatine radio news program. Maybe he did again this year and you can hear them. LMAO.

Well, we didn't go to the fireworks, but a little bit after they were over, someone a street or two over from us decided to grace us with a fireworks show of their own.  They must have spent a bundle on it, too.  I didn't see them, but my 14 year old did.She said they were very impressive.

Well, for me, this fourth of July weekend was filled with bad news so the weekend was on the downside.  Did not go to the parade or fireworks.  In fact, the only thing we did that recognized this special time was flying the flag on our front porch.  We can always hear and sometimes see a little of the fireworks from our home but this year we did not hear or see anything.  I doubt they lasted very long if at all.

I hope things went well for everyone else here in the neighborhood and everyone had a good time in spite of the wet conditions.
