I got stopped one time in my truck , my ex hit me with a restraining order cuz she was tired of my bitching...she had taken the insurance card out...the day we swapped vehicles..it was also the day i got hit with the restraining order...so i couldnt prove it was insured cuz i couldnt call to get the insurance card....it cost me 500.00 and probation for one year by the D.O.T....one single violation for a year would have cost me my license...an expensive nightmare since the truck was insured......guess i should have called the insurance company before i left work with it ...instead of waiting til i got home...this was the same day we swapped vehicles... that was in june of 2000........i imagine that its so much more now.........

You folks amazeme!! You complain and bi*&*^when the cops "dont" do their jobs and now one hangs a ticket on your daughter because you fouled up an dyou want to grip. Get over it and pay the fine. The courts costs ar the costs of running the entire court system not just the actions taken on your behalf. You want to gripe? Gripe to the elected officials in the sate house. I do urge you to look really hard at whatever state you are thinking of moving to. You will be very surprised at thecosts of things in other states compared to Iowa.
