Muscatine

I was just at a locally owned strip mall. The one that has Tony's Tropicals in it. The owners(?) were painting stripes on the pavement. Yes they had it marked off and it was obvious that they were painitng. As I got out of my car the lady(?) stated in a loud voice"If one more person walks thru here I am going to get really pizzed off." I walked across the lot and she and her partner yelled obscenities at me including to ge the "f" out of here.  I told them I would not be dumb enough to step on their paint and I would not even step on a crack for fear of breaking my mothers back. As I exited the store(ok I was buying smokes) she informed me she was the property owner and paid taxes for it. I want her to know that the folks that shop at the stores on the property pay the taxes by patronizing them. I also want her to know that I am certian that I along with the 4 or 5 other folks that witnessed this and were spoken to in this manner will never shop there agian. Tony and his mom or whoever she was can keep whatever it is they are selling because I wont be treated that way and still patronize them. I suggest all do the same. I also cant beleive she eats with the mouth that spewed the obscenities she did. I am no shrinking violet but a business woman that wants to make a buck really needs to learn some manners. Makes me really proud of Muscatine.

I am sorry you had this experience but I hope you don't hold it against all local businesses.  No matter where you are or what you are doing there are always some bad apples in the bunch.  I think you will find most local business owners a lot more polite and willing to service their customers.  Sorry about your experience.

Actually I have met a lot of you, just that way.  The latest was gta.  So if you are downtown stick you head in the door and say hi.
