I didn't go but that's not surprising. I never go. Can't stand to be surrounded by so many people. I did watch the parade on TV while it was in progress, because I was doing laundry and couldn't leave here. I only watch parades for the old cars-trucks-tractors. There was two old cars and one tractor. Of course, the announcers had not one bit of info about them.

LJ, do you know if the Paddlewheeler is making routine cruises?  Like a cuple of times a day on weekends?  I'd love to take the grandkids on it (especially if they'd have a "dinner cruise").  I remember taking a paddlewheel cruise on a Saturday or Sunday, back in the early 60's, lost the name of the boat now, went down to about the Moose Farm and then came back (about a 3 hour cruise if I remember right).  Had entertainment on the boat.  God,the name of the boat is on the tip of my tongue!  Started with an "A", if I remember right.   Shackman.  Do you know how one gets ahold of anybody to find out about the cruising schedule?  Thankx again!  I'm glad that you enjoyed GRD's.  Maybe next year.

Brain fart.  I remember the boats' name now, it was the Avalon.  Only came by a couple of times, as I remember it!  Refresh my memory folks......Shackman.

We went for a Friday Happy Hour Cruise on the 'Pearl Button' - the first happy hour cruise - right after the 4th. It was perfectly delightful. The cost was $5 and the cruise was one and a half hours long. There are hot dogs and hamburgers, chips, soft drinks, beer and wine available for purchase.

They also do a Sunday Brunch deal with Brunch at the Button Factory, a carriage ride on the riverfront, then the boat cruise all for $25 or just the cruise for $10. There were a couple of times for the cruise but I don't remember. Just call the Button Factory and they have all the info - that's where we got our info.

Enjoy!
