First of all, I must admit that I don't know all about Gitmo. I do know that we have had troops there MUCH longer than we have had 'detainees/prisoners'. Today I am hearing that obama has folks checking out a soon-to-be shut down prison as a possible site for the present Gitmo detainees/prisoners. The prison is in Michigan.
Please explain to me why we should move them? I guess I thought that we didn't want them any more and that 'they' were trying to find countries who would accept them. Was that not successful? No one wants them 'in their back yard'?
Watch out folks - they will be bringing them to that controversial prison at Thompson, Illinois - in OUR back yard!
