You start with an assumption which may or may not be true and ask me to respond. First get your question right.
A person has millions of "needs" some of which are best provided collectively and some individually.
For example, I don't want to take on the individual responsibtilty for making certain all the cars I meet are all on the right side of the road or even build the road. Nor do I want to defend myself against ICBM's.
Another example, I do want the government to protect me against lethal drugs and foods. Have you read the ingrediants on some of the food you eat and feel comfortable you know they're all healthy and good for you? I do rely on the government to keep the Mississippi reasonably clean. That's a task that is beyond me as an individual.
