Muscatine

LJ, I don't know if you realize just how much of a blessing you are to people.  Tina and I are on Lionjack's email list and everyday we get emails that are humorous, inspirational, uplifting, sometimes just silly, but everyone a bright spot in our day.  I don't know if it is LJ or Mrs LJ but these two find some of the unique emails and bless us daily.  If you folks out there are not on LJ's email list then beg him, pay him, bribe him to get there.  You will be blessed.  LJ, some times we go through life wondering what it is all about and if we are making a difference.  You, my friend, are touching lives.

I am not sure what to say about your post or if I should say anything but here goes anyway.

First, I am pleased my emails have brightened your lives and I appreciate your feeling that they do.  I would hope everyone would find a way to brighten the days of other people.  Sending and forwarding emails is one way.

As a Lion and District Governor, I devoted 18 years of my life to helping others.  There were many projects and goals that had to be compleated and some that were ongoing with hope they could be resolved.  Blindness and Diabetes were two of the latter.

There were elderly people that needed help around their homes with some needing food and medicine.  Christmas and Thanksgiving were two important times to help those in need.  I was proud to be a part of this.  Now that I am retired, I have decided that I am a meddler for the most part and have intervened into the lives of others in my attempt to help them in any way I could.  I will probably continue to do that.

Then there is the black side of me.  I am slow to anger but when I do, I know I am not very nice and I feel bad about that.

I have had some bad days lately and some good ones with my family and I am looking forward to Labor Day when my daughter and her boyfriend come to visit us in Muscatine.  I am blessed in so many ways and I do appreciate my neighbors in the NL and in CB.  I wish everyone peace and happiness.

And finally, I do appreciate your words but you could have used an email to send them.  If others would like to receive emails from me, just let me know by Jeh09@machlink.com

I also enjoy LJs' emails.....and appreciate the advice he gave me on dealing with my diabetes........thanx LJ

 I also receive e-mails from LJ that I am not good at responding to and to him I am sorry for that.

I have been trying to live last year and this year together to make up for lost time and that is my reasoning for it.

He helped me through some tough times and I appreciate it because a few uplifting words help when you are down.

 Good news that I received from my family doctor this afternoon was the small aneurysm they found on my aorta is very small so it will be checked yearly.

It may be a rainy day but the sun is shining for me.
