I think you answered your own question.   I'm also not sure it's legal for Hopkins to be a radio news person or even in a management position and run for office at the same time.

Maybe Hoppy was just following orders. Maybe we should let the guy running the corporation know how we feel.

If he is much of a CEO, he's reading his competition and reading these pages already. If Hoppy was much of a manager, he'd have told management to read these pages of public opinion about things.
