Congratulations GTA1. On behalf of all Hooders now and from the past, it is my honor to present you with this gold-plated 100 post pin, symbolic of your heroic efforts and the 99 responses that were the result of your original post.
Prizes include a bucket of snow from Ned (don't bother looking for beer in there...he drank it all), a dose of reality from Bigbrother, a cold beer from JOS, lots and lots of unusual things from Mobay, peanuts to go with the beer from Daryl, and a hearty "way to go" from me. |

Overpopulation will take care of itself if we let it. Just like it does in the animal kingdom, through starvation and disease. But, we feel we must interfere by feeding masses of people who insist on squating on land that hasn't grown a blade of grass in anyone's memory, all the while pumping out more fly covered kids. Wars work too but use up too many resources.
Most of those people don't "insist" on being where there are but have no means to escape. Those that can escape move on to better lands and disrupt and displace the local population. That population in turn moves on too. Eventually they might encroach on your area. I should say will encroach. If nothing is done it's inevitable. It's happening aleady in Europe and here. Personally, I think desease and starvation are cruel as is war but apparently it doesn't bother you. What religion or moral sytem do you follow? If you come to realize that doing nothing is not the solution, what options will you accept? I still think selfish is the better label than conseravtive. |
