HiSmile

Thank you Wroe. I'm sorry I spelled your name wrong earlier. I'm always amused when men seem to make attempts to rewrite the thoughts of women. Men are wonderful and so so interesting, but sometimes their egos get in the way, not that this is the case here. I agree with you whole heartedly, with so much suffering and sadness in the world, a little thing can mean so much to so many. We Americans are but a small particle of the people of this world as a whole and yet, perhaps it's because we can, America has been there for almost every noble cause since we first won our independence. I hope and pray we are able to continue as long as our world exists. It was terribly heart wrenching to see all those poor lost helpless people down in Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina hit. It just tore at our hearts. I know some were warned and well as before there just isn't a way to blame those who just had no place to go. We lost a niece to SIDS recently, my mother a year after Katrina, my husband was nearly killed a year after that. But as Daryl said, others have suffered and helped many too. It warms my heart that we have so many caring and generous people in every place of this amazing country.

Thank you Wroe.

Lucy.

Hi DarylSmile

I don't know. Where? April, is probable that it was supper low? But I'd suspect due to the theory of warming, it was much higher? Even half a millenium ago. Proves a point agains the theory if it was hotter that day.

So I can assume then that you don't know what the temperature was on that day anywhere?  How about December 12, 1645?  March 15, 1713? January 4, 1112?
