....before i ever watched the show i knew what my opinion was on the subject...
And therein lies the problem. There ain't a fact in the world that you can present to a conservative that will make them change their mind because they "knew what [their] opinion was on the subject." To paraphrase Stephen Colbert, who was referring to George W. Bush at the 2006 Correspondent's Dinner - A conservative believes the same thing on Wednesday as he did on Monday, no matter what happened on Tuesday. Events can change, but a conservative's opinion never will.

now because my opinion was formed when i researched this topic 3 YEARS AGO..Jesse Ventura wasnt doing this show then....so was i supposed to wait until last wednesday to form an opinion on this subject?....the only thing thats happened in the last 3 years is the hype surrounding the issue....Al Bore had to make a living somehow......or at least make himself appear somewhat intelligent....the same people who laugh and call Dan Quayle an idiot think Al Bore (thats Gore 4 u libs) is an intelligent man......the difference is Dan dropped off the map and Al keeps making himself look stupid......at least Dan was smart enough to stop while he was a head.....

It's amusing that in a thread that starts out citing Jesse Ventura and includes references to Christopher Monkton, John Stossel, and John Coleman, I'm the one that gets called "fringe" because I paraphrased a comedian's insult. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...... Priceless!

As usual, you missed the point, gta1. It's not about when you watched "Jesse the wrassler" (that's a good one, btw) it's the fact that on a subject where there's literally thousands of documents proving the existence of global climate change you formed an opinion based on three "studies" that you read three years ago and aren't going to be swayed from it no matter what. That's what I was referring to. Maybe you could enlighten us as to who authored the stated three studies. Or maybe you could tell us where those studies were published. That would probably tell us a lot about their credibility.
Even funnier, you then go on to say that "by the way jesse the wrassler as u call him was ALSO a governor," as though that burnishes his credentials on climate change. But Arnold Schwarzenegger is a governor (a conservative governor at that), as well, and he comes down on the other side of the climate change debate. So who to believe? Oh wait, you already knew what your opinion was on the subject. Never mind.
BTW when did Dan Quayle become "a head?" What happened to the rest of his body? Last I knew, he was a full person. |
