And who's fault is that, hiroad? The women and children buried in the rubble? The people in need of food, water and medical care? Or maybe it's a broken system over which those people have no control. Now is not the time to punish. Now is the time to help.

At the end of the day, whether you agree with Haiti's past course of action or not, these are still human beings. We have the resources they need. We should give what we can.

I pose the question again.  How much money...moolah...coin...dinero....bucks...samolians....whatever, does a person have to give to Haitian relief  before he is no longer considered "disgusting" or be condemned to hell by JOS? Is 50 cents too little?  Is a cool million too much and just showing off?  Does a person's employment status or available funds make a difference, or current debt or size of a savings account?  Predictability of income in the next ten years? Does one need consider the millions already pumped into the pockets of the tin horn dictators there already, and are we still disgusting if we don't wish to line their pockets anymore?

How much is enough?  Is there a dollar amount that would satisfy you?

JOS:  Maybe you should go back and read the relevant part of my post again.   I said: "I guarantee you that beyond the immediate needs, any money plowed into that country is money flushed down the toilet."    Note the "beyond immediate needs".   I stand by my statement.    Donate all you want to the poor corrupt criminals.  Make yourself feel good.

Also, please explain more clearly what "clear quotation" you are talking about?   My point was that I know of no protestant religion that believes we can loose heaven through some lack of good works.   Maybe you do?
