Obama yesterday: "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. It's time your government did the same."

Jon Ralston, political columnist for the Las Vegas Sun, reports that Reid spoke to the White House and said Obama "needs to lay off Las Vegas and stop making it the poster child for where people shouldn't be spending their money."

"To truly reenergize our economy, we need people to travel to Las Vegas," Reid said.  "I would much rather tourists and business travelers spend their money in Las Vegas than spend it overseas."

This isn't the first time Obama went after Las Vegas for excess and irresponsibility.

Last February, Obama singled out Las Vegas when scolding Wall Street executives for not being more responsible with taxpayers money.

Isn't that kind of a ludicrous statement coming from the Obumbler?   After throwing trillions of our children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's money down liberal rat holes?
