I inherited a whole bunch of political jokey and satirical stuff last year. We recently ordered a Bush "miss Me Yet" mug. My husband has a Reagan mouse pad and calender of his seemingly endless quotes. I got a plaque that has a broken open piggy bank that has GHW Bush' likeness that reads " Read My Lips, No New Taxes." A poster of Reagan sprinkling dollar signs atop dead shriveled up corn stalks with puffing smutty ears of corn that reads, "Sorry Ronald, you feed a crop from the roots, not the top." A sweat deck of cards of his quotes too. I got another poster that shows Jimmy carter dressed in bib overhauls with a huge smile, standing next to a peanut field that reads, "He has lust in his heart, but Goober Peas fill his soul." My favorite is a Mad Magazine that has GW Bush as Alfred E. Newman on the cover. Another one is a poster of many comic cells where one has GW Bush shoveling from a huge mountain of money, fed from an infinite conveyor belt, into a double furnace that has an arch over each, reading, "Iraq" on the left, and "Afghanistan" on the right. The conveyor reads "deficit." My grandma loved Reagan and got many of his political pins and such. Even his portico from cinema to politics films. Then he did many things to upset our economic balance and lost her support.
I love jokes and satire. I didn't want Obama as president either, and fun is fun. But what you guys have posted here is simply rude, unkind, disgusting and racist. And didn't a copy of his birth Certificate get published? Just because some don't wish to accept it doesn't mean it isn't there. Cmon guys, don't you think by now there would be proof otherwise? Just like that picture of Mrs. Obama on the right and a chimpanzee on the left in a similar pose now circulating the web. This reference to Sasquatch and monkeys is beneath us all. Lets hope this sort of comedy doesn't affect our resumes to heaven.
