Mornin Fox
No sir. And clearly a call back to the VERY recent past that you hate to talk about. be that as it may Fox.
For me failure is based on watching/living in the worst economic calamity in 78 years get even worse, with over10% unemployment. It's a critical loss of not just jobs but the places that they existed within. It's billions and billions handed to bankers and brokers before and after admin. change. It's a lackluster attitude toward the problems created well over a mere year ago. It's that not one rep. has introduced one letter of legislation to resind those that blitzkreiged our global economy. It's watching almost 90% of our goods and many services delivered and served by other nations and peoples. It's watching a nation falling even deeper into heath care crisis and debt while the bickering continues over a year into the hope of change and a better future. It's that no matter how much money they were dolled out to, we still cannot find a bank that will loan as they topple like so many dominoes. It's that the margins for fuel based profits are still off the charts. It's that the lobby industry is as strong now than it was a decade ago. It's that a man can lose by over half a million votes of the people and saddle up to the resolute desk anyway. It's that the entire middle class that actually supported this great nation has been decimated, the poor kicked to the curb and the top tier has gotten even more. It's that health insurers and drug companies are raking in even more massive profits while the uninsured are gaining even greater numbers. It's that two wars have drained our service-members and our piggy banks when one should never have been waged at all and without the slightest measure of accountability. It's that the majority of our representatives are deaf and "We the people" have barely a word to say about it, while they haggle over an issue that by now most don't want::: but continue on anyway. All the while a system that should be concerned with healing is merely concerned with profits. It's a failure when the greatest nation on earth's people suffer in sickness, while focused on making money and incorporates to make even more money and nothing but. It's shameful.
Mrs. Obama doesn't live down town or just off main street or scrub toilets at the Super 8. Her America might well be the one that pays a thousand dollars a plate to eat a decadent dinner along a half a block long table, away from the leader of the free world. If that's the case, well then she might be right. But for me::: America is you Fox, it's BB, Nedl, Mallory,DM, it's GTA, TP, HiR, MobayD, Wroe, that lady who hands me my fajita out the Taco Bell window. The guys who fixed our water main last month in the bitter cold, or more than 12 million looking for work and those millions who have given up. For me Fox, when none of these voices are heard nor seems to be important enough for congress to feel their presence or need, then YES. The fence I walk is a WIDE one::: clearly a stand::: though you don't see it and since these are facts sir, this sytem has been a failure. A wise old woman I dearly loved use to say: "Don't offer hungry souls two poison apples and get upset they won't eat one."

Veeeeery impressive. 30 lines detailing the horrible failure that we are. But yet I assume you live in a warm house, probably air conditioned as well. Got a comfortable bed to sleep in. Are fortunate enough to have the greatest medical care in the world available to you. Probably eat three squares a day. Got a car? Maybe two or three. Own a computer that links to a world wide web. Have worked at a job or two with family doing the same. Firefighters and police looking out for your well-being. Maybe a little money in the bank. Live in a town with great schools, three nice golf courses, friendly people, and a big ol' river. Are free to come and go as you please. And of course, you have the ability to vote all of those horrible criminals out of office in 2012.
Yep... we're pretty bad off here. Might I suggest a long vacation to the sun-kissed shores of Haiti? Perhaps while lying on a nice rubble-strewn beach, you'll begin to get over that Mr. Gore, one of histories greatest jokes, didn't get to be our leader. |

Whew!
The fox got some feathers perhaps but the bird lives still. If you are calling "we" the government than yup. Failed us miserably. I thought that's what all this was about these past months, how poorly congress is doing and has done? How "Obumbler" is so incompetent and again:::a failure or perhaps another word you'd prefer? Either way sir, this government has gotten this GREAT NATION into a mess not seen since the 30's. But your words here give a sense that you disagree with that assessment? Plus dear Fox, it didn't happen the past year. Not once did I suggest there were many systems or another that denigrates Americans as a whole. Obviously I spoke of our electeds, not you and I, or rather the "We" you referenced. And if you think there are not millions right here that are not "pretty bad off" as you stated, that do go without those "three squares" or sleep in hot squaller, and don't have the meds they need or a way to pay for them had they any, or any vehicle to get there? Well sir, you might pay closer attention to the national scene as a whole. I know Gore didn't invent the internet, nor do the scientific research that he presented to the world regarding global warming issues, believed or not. Why that warranted a Nobel prize! I don't understand:::But not one of us knows how we'd have turned out had he actually taken the elected office he rightfully won in 2000. If you do, please call the world's greatest collection of devinaters and sooth Sayers, we have a miracle diviner amongst us. But, it's a sure winner to apply your declaration of Gore to Bush though, who did::: "get to be our leader". Because I gotta tell ya, had we known what was ahead under Bush? Well hells bells we'd be talkin a different tune perhaps. I simply pointed out those realities that so seriously plague us, in accordance with the topic. But for your curious pleasure? I did stop by the Red Cross office by the way, and that little money in the bank has been gone for quite some time now. Had to fill the tank again on our one and only 1992 gas hog. While I added another bucket of corn to the stove and then took half of my 19 meds. I decided to sit here a moment at this borrowed tower::: after my insulin shot, and reply to one of the most pointless list of remarks I have yet to read. Soon I'll pop an Aldi version toaster strudel, for my second "square" of the day. I already have the third thawing, Aldi salisbury steak, with a canister of flaky biscuits and some beef-n-gravy. I thought Michael Moore was in town. hey he might actually be, since he would be a newer member::::Hmmm.
