Muscatine

So, does this latest incident in California involving a Toyota Prius sound a little fishy?  The car supposedly accelarates to 90 mph (why just to 90?), the driver travels 30 miles (15-20 minutes and he can't turn off the engine or shift into nuetral?), and is magically able to slow down to a stop once the highway patrol car pulls in front of him?

Now I'm pretty sure that there are some problems with Toyotas, and am real sure that they haven't handled the situation very well, but are the nuts already coming out of the woodwork trying to get a boatload of money? 

I'm getting flashbacks of Balloon Boy.

But u have to remember nigel, its a prius...i dont think the rubber band could be wound any tighter....i was amazed it could even reach 90...my best guess was maybe 55 with a strong tail wind.......maybe it will air on "COPS".....

Could be.  Or maybe the hamsters wheel got stuck. 

Just be thankful it was a Prius or there would have been some SERIOUS pollution emissions expelled during those 30 minutes!! There is a God!
