Kinda reminds me of those internet sex stings, where these guys go to great lengths to meet up with a teen and get busted when they arrive. Some of those perverts had already seen earlier episodes too, but still made the attempt. That seems to fall within that "Too good to be true" area where Penthouse stories come from. How can any of these politicians think they have a pass to be crooked and not get exposed at least eventually. We treat beauty contestants with greater scrutiny than our leaders. It was possible that Edwards might have been our President. Do you suppose he'd have resigned had he won and well::: But at least congress wouldn't have their cushy life-long free comprehensive health care?

What really sadens me is that once the dust clears from the ruckus both parties create, all there is for us to do is choose between the lesser of two evils. Sounds simple enough, vote for the one with less conspiracy, less ethical malaise, less chance of indictment, and viola! we have a government. Like was said already, why do we hold beauty and tallent contestants to higher standards than our leaders with no way to get them out of office immediately once we find out what scum they are? I sorta liked Edwards, what he seemed to satnd for and his claim to hold his colleges to the same standard as the rest of us. Yup, it sounded good but after a while we realize it's just a dream. He's a letch and as many lawyers seem to be, just scum after all. Ya gotta admit though, it would have been nice to have a leader who fights to force congress to suffer as we do.

I heard where some reps were asked if they would accept the same health care all of us would be involved with? They either ducked the question or gave some vauge foggy response. Even the president supposedly didn't answer? I didn't see this but heard it was how some replied. I don't know if any agreed to accept it as we would have to.
