Monday's musings...

1.  Recess appointments?  Just when you thought it couldn't get any sleazier.

2.  The president's trip to the war zone.  Much as I'd like to think it was for troop morale, deep down we know that it was an effort to bump his still sinking approval ratings.

3.  The appearence this morning on the Today show by Laura Ingraham.  She took Matt Lauer, the host and graduate of the Katie Couric School of Liberal Broadcasters Who Claim to be Unbiased, to school.  Chewed him into little pieces and told it like it is.

4.  The man who was to fix our problems, run a totally transparent administration, and give us "hope and change" continues to "divide and alienate".

On the bright side, looks like a great week of weather, in spite of our boy Ned's insistence that "the big one" is still on the way with more snow.  C'mon Ned....it's over.  Not gonna happen.  Break out the big old shorts and hawaiian shirts.

Hey Nigel, I enjoyed Laura Ingrham on Today this am also. It is about time that the lame stream media is taken to task for their leftist "reporting". There was positively NO reason for george lewis to infer in his reporting of Palin's appearances over the weekend to any purported "threats" over the healthcare fiasco. That was an attempt to paint conservatives and tea party folks as radicals. Does anyone remember pelosi calling the grass-roots folks at town hall meetings 'nazi-like'? Talk about radical.

I'll bet that matt lauer is having a difficult time sitting on the couch today after Laura chewed him a new one.

BTW - is babybird on spring break? We haven't heard from her for a bit.

I think that one reason for the popularity of conservative talk radio is the refreshing honesty of the commentators.  They tell you up front..."I'm a conservative", so you know what you're getting, unlike the major network anchors who, for years, tried to sell themselves as "unbiased", all the while putting an enormous liberal slant on reporting.  The left sees this as dangerous, and are resorting to the same tired playbook.  Guys like Lauer get visibly shaken when pressed on this, and it's good to see.

As for the Bird......you're being like the kid who asks at the dismissal bell...."Gee Mrs. Farnsworth, did you forget to give us our homework?"   Ssshhhhh.....don't ask.

Recess appointments are a bit sleazy, to use your words. However ever President does seem to do it and I don't think every President is sleazy.

I also would like to think any trip by a President to a war zone would be for troop morale. Why "we" would think of a different reason is beyond me, but would it matter if troop morale improvement was accomplished?

Sorry I missed the Today show. I'd enjoy seeing it. Do you have a link?

Heard something interesting today. A poll revealed that most Americans - 87 percent - will dutifully send back their census form, though there was a partisan divide: 95 percent of Democrats will comply, with 80 percent of Republicans. United?

I do agree the weather is beautiful.
