WASHINGTON - DC officials say nine people were shot and one person is dead after a shooting in the 4000 block of South Capitol Street Tuesday night.

Police officials say around 7:30 p.m. a car drove by and someone shot into a crowd, striking nine people. 

Fire officials say all of the victims are in their 20s and 30s except one person who is a teen. Five people are listed in critical condition. Three other people are listed in serious condition.
