Online Journal today:

MUSCATINE, Iowa — Merlin Chun, 31, was arrested for felony identity theft on April 22 for allegedly using a fake ID to gain work through a temporary employment agency.

According to court records, Chun, 1009 E. Seventh St., Muscatine, originally of Guatemala, was using the name Anthony Borrero Gutierrez. He reportedly told authorities that he paid $1,000 for a Social Security card with that name because he did not have a Social Security card of his own.

Chun was charged with identity theft, a class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison and up to $7,500 in fines. He was also charged with false application for an Iowa ID, a serious misdemeanor.

Chun is being held in the Muscatine County Jail on $5,000 bond.

What has this person been convicted of? We have a legal process in this country. (one you claim to be an expert on)

Regardless of innocents or guilt, this would not justify a law that blindly allows the detention of all brown skinned people until citizenship was proved.

Let's stay on topic.

Nothing in the post speaks to conviction? It's good you note that we have a legal process in this country...one you have zero expertise on, davie....and this guy just entered it.

Are there currently any laws in this country that "blindly allows the detention of all brown skinned people until citizenship was proved", davie? Is someone presenting that kind of law for approval somewhere? If so, it does not stand a chance of being passed in this country.

You must have a hard time reading or havent bothered to read the law from Arizoina--I presume that is what you are refering to here. The law makes no mention of skin color. None whatsoever. NO ONE is suggesting that anyone be detained based upon skin color.

Once again it is shown that TP can not read or chooses not to.
