On another forum someone pointed this out. It says a lot.

"The difference is that generally, Republicans will do the right thing and resign.  (Newt Gingrich, Mark Foley, Bob Livingston, Trent Lott,  Richard Nixon.)  Not always but most of the time.  When is the last time a Democrat did that?  They follow the Slick Willy example and ride it out and to hell with the good of the country or even the party.  They have no shame.  Charles Rangell could be found with a million stolen dollars and a dead teenage prostitute in his bed and not only would he not resign, he would be reelected with a higher margin than ever, just like Barney Frank."

Why, you obviously don't understand the situation:

Charlie is one of the liberal elite.  They are above the law.  They don't have to answer to the same standards we peons do.  Even if all the evidence points to their guilt, they will get a pass because they have "good intentions" and they are smarter than we are.   And, if they are a "minority", we owe them a perpetual pass.

And don't forget, we need them to pass laws and tell us how to live so that everything is fair and all the suffering is equalized (except for them).

This stuff is not exceptional.  You see it every day.

March 2010:

"Rangel steps down as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee after ethics investigations were announced"..."after losing support within his party because of ethics violations"... "Republicans have long pressed Speaker Pelosi to force Rangel to relinquish his chairmanship but the Speaker has long demurred."

(So he steps down only after losing party support....not because it's the right thing to do. More of that honesty and openess and righteous gov't that Libs were supposed to deliver.) http://abcnews.go.com/WN/rep-charles-rangel-relinquishes-ways-means-chairmanship/story?id=9996907

He should have resigned from Congress then.

July, 2010

"...Rangel stepped down on Wednesday as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee"..."said he was leaving the post to prevent Republicans from forcing his fellow Democrats to vote on ousting him from the position after he was admonished by the House ethics committee last week for accepting corporate-sponsored trips to the Caribbean. ..."..."The ethics panel is still investigating more serious accusations regarding Mr. Rangel’s fund-raising, his failure to pay federal taxes on rental income from a villa he owns in the Dominican Republic and his use of four rent-stabilized apartments provided by a Manhattan real estate developer". http://blog.stixblog.com/2010/07/22/rangel-steps-down/

(Leaving the post so Repubs can't force his removal....instead of leaving the post because it is the right thing to do. If he should have resigned at the onset of this...it is truly warranted that he resign from Congress now! The outcome of the more serious charges is yet to come and can only get worse.)

Libs are dumping him just like nobama, the president from Kenya, dumped Rev Wright!
