WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will call on Congress to pass new tax breaks that would allow businesses to write off 100 percent of their new capital investments through 2011, the latest in a series of proposals the White House is rolling out in hopes of showing action on the economy ahead of the November elections.

An administration official said the tax breaks would save businesses $200 billion over two years, allowing companies to have more cash on hand. The president will outline the proposal during a speech on the economy in Cleveland Wednesday.

Care to wager, the Republicans will oppose these tax breaks for business...

Do you even know what that means, davie? Businesses who don't have money to hire now also do not have money to spend for capital investments. You see how he restricted it to "new capital investments"? Businesses need help with their current tax plight, davie...not help with write-offs that are limited to future spending, or even worse....getting loans to pay for those investments.

You haven't made ANY case, davie....I never said I was opposed to it...I only stated how limited it is. We need more from the US Pres from Kenya. He just never does enough; or in the right way.
