US troops dying without combat troop support

Posted in: Muscatine

An attack on US troops by insurgents occurred last Sunday in Iraq, luckily without any US casualties.

Then, Tuesday, two US troops were killed in an attack on US security officers at an Iraqi commando compound.

Where were the US combat troops at for support, that had been previously assigned in this commando compund? Oh...that's right...the US Pres from Kenya performed his political cut and run, didn't he, merely transferring them out of the country?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The two deaths were the first U.S. casualties in Iraq since Obama's Aug. 31 address to the nation on the end of combat operations. But it was the second time U.S. troops had been caught up in violence in the last week, underscoring the reality that they are not out of harm's way."

"On Sunday, U.S. troops joined Iraqi forces to battle seven insurgents attempting to storm an Iraqi army headquarters in downtown Baghdad with bombs and automatic weapons. At least 18 people died in the suicide attack, including six of the insurgents. There were no American casualties."

I wonder how abandoned the remaining US troops feel? Wanna bet how THEY will vote next Pres election?

Obama can't be bothered. He's on vacation somewhere.

Obama can't be bothered. He's on vacation somewhere.

Or perhaps consulting with his travel agent - or perhaps playing golf - or perhaps playing basketball - or perhaps consulting with Rahm about Rahm running for mayor of chicago - or perhaps anything but the problems of the United States of America.

A little reminder for the Libs. And...where is the witch Clinton with these promised negotiations?

In an 11-minute interview with hometown Chicago radio broadcaster and journalist, Roland Martin, Barack Obama revealed that his first act, if elected president, would be to pull our troops out of Iraq as quickly as possible.

BuzzFlash has excerpted the key Iraq question and answer below. But there's a lot more interesting stuff to listen to in a rather candid, hoarse conversation between Obama and Martin.

Roland Martin: If you are elected what is the very first thing that you focus on as Commander in Chief of this country?

Barack Obama: Well, we will call in the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  I will give them a new assignment and that is to bring our troops home in a careful, responsible way, but to end this occupation in Iraq.  I will call in my Secretary of State and initiate the diplomacy that's needed to make sure that exit is accompanied by negotiations between the Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

Rotating the troops to other countries certainly is not bringing the troops home, is it? Two big lies on record....just add them to the rest.
