For centuries people have been using natural apple cider vinegar as both a food and a medicine for themselves and for their pets.
Since 400BC, Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, and others, have used vinegar and vinegar mixed with honey, as an energizing tonic and a healing elixir.

I thought I'd pass this along to all the other old farts out there in NL land. Since early in this week I started using apple cider vinegar hoping it would relieve some of my aches and pains. I notice a small difference that way. However, I don't feel hungry all the time like before. I plan to continue using two tablespoons a day, one in the morning, one evening, in 8 oz juice. Be sure to mix well. The first day I slammed down a shot glass full. GHAAAK! Don't ever do that.

Hop, I drink a glass of mix every morning and every night, regardless of anything else. I have for years. Mix 1 cup pure honey with 1 cup pure or non-distilled apple cider vinegar in a clean gallon milk jug. Sometimes I use some warm water to fill the jug. It helps the honey dissovle better. But do not heat the honey any other way first to make it pour better. (I use a kitchen funnel to pour the honey).

Some folks keep the jug in the fridge. I like mine room temp and leave in the cupboard where sun does not shine on it. (Ferments). Shake the jug before every glass. Adjust taste with more or less honey, but always start with the cup-cup-gallon ratio for that size jug. Smaller jug? Reduce the ratio accordingly.  PS...the non-distilled has many more nutrients.

Thanks. I'll try that.
