In our capatilistic and private ownership system, the feds would first have to take over a controlling interest in Walmart in order to choose who sits on the board of directors!   Good luck passing legislation along those lines.

Germany has a capitalistic and private ownership system too.   Our government doesn't need  controlling interest in Walmart to require them to reserve a seat on their board for a labor representative.    The German government doesn't have controlling interest in the companies which have union representatives on their boards.

I didn't say it would be easy or even possible, just desirable.

In Germany, it is much easier.  They have a parliamentary system, quite different from ours.  They change what they call their constitution quite often (whimsically it might be said).

Your saying it's done "whimsically" doesn't make it true.

I think not.   When you don't understand something it's much easier to accuse the source as being "in over your head" and call them a name, than continue the discussion  -- or agree they're right.
