Do you have a favorite movie?  I have enjoyed many movies but can never remember their titles.  I am the same way with people; I remember their faces but have a hard time with their names.

Anyway, I decided this movie was worth sharing.  It is entitled “It Was a Very Long Engagement.”  It is a French movie set in WWI with English sub titles.  The scenes and setting are superbly real.  It is about a young couple who gets engaged but never gets married because he has to go to war.  During the course of the war, he and four others wound themselves and are sentenced to death for trying to fake injuries so they would get sent home.  It is his fiancée that believes he is still alive and begins a search for him.  It is worth seeing and I recommend it to all of you.

Just watched "That evening sun" with Hal Holbrook, for the second time. A very good movie about an old fart near the end of his run and his interaction with his son and others.

Also watched "Centurion" about a Roman legion in England getting wiped out by the Pics. The fight scenes are pretty bloody. Not too bad for a limey flick.
