My wife is an avid reader and has a hard time stopping once she opens a book. I just finished reading a book that was entertaining and had a message to share with our youth today. It expounds virtue, honesty, and integrity, getting along with others, following the law and just doing what is right. Too many of our young people are traversing the wrong roads in their lives and I am hopeful those who read this book will understand the underlying concepts presented within the pages and do something with their lives. Of course nothing in life is all that simple but hopefully it will open doors to making better decisions. This book is written by our “Opie” with the setting right here in Muscatine. It is worth reading even though it is written for our younger people. As I understand things, there are other books that will be forthcoming and I intend to read them all since I need to add reading to my daily routine.
