Here's one item I copied from the internet. I'm sure there are more.
In Senate campaigns, Republican-leaning interest groups outspent Democratic-oriented organizations on television ads by $10.9 million to $1.3 million between Aug. 1 and Sept. 8, the In House contests, the disparity was $3.1 million to $1.5 million. It is not clear who is behind all of the advertising
USA Today give total receipts for Republicans $417,332,196 Democrats $254,509,947
I just noticed that was for the 2008 campaign.
Another source. Federal Election Commision
All Iowa house races R $5,125,542 D $4,453,723
Iowa senate race R $5,556,686 D $3,128,895
These are just the contributions to the candidates, not the outside independant sources who don't have to report. But if you read the DM Register a weeks or so ago, you'd know one of those groups is buying TV ads worth $1,800,000 or so to defeat Braley and Loebsack. I've seen none in their support.
