That is correct opie, however, that 'device' will not correct wrong words. An example that is used incorrectly by many - on this forum and other place also - is your instead of you're.
Your should be used when describing something that belongs to the person to whom you are speaking - your name - your shoes - your house - your car - your child - your spouse.
You're is a contraction of you and are - you're right - you're wrong - you're a hunk - you're a Republican - you're an idiot - you're a brainiac. I think you get the drift. If you would say you are ___, then you would use the "you're".
Simple huh?
Another wrong usage is to and too. I am going to get some groceries and I hope I don't have to spend too much money. I read these mistakes in the Journal every single day.
Spellcheck will not pick up those things as they are words and spelled correctly - just the wrong words for that instance.
