I second that!

I had the pleasure of walking into Hy-Vee this morning and observing their free breakfast for vets.  The deli was packed, and extra tables had been set up to accomodate the overflow.  Store manager Jeff Canfield was visiting as many tables as he could, and many store employees helped serve.  What an honor to be in the presence of so many great people who served our country in the military, and many thanks to Hy-Vee for this wonderful gesture. 

I went to Applebees for lunch.  They were doing the same thing.  I have a niece that works there, and, she was told by the management not to expect many tips (free meals, I guess).  I thannked our waitress, and the manager on duty, and left the waitress a nice tip!  I just can't image getting a free meal, and then not ackowledging their thoughtfullness!  I remember when the guy that owned the Golden Corral did the same thing, and, again, I thanked him for his concern and generousity.  I think that it's a great thing to remember and thank all of the Vest.  Tom.
