Quote: "In SSM the people are two consenting adults that don't infringe on any of your rights."  How about Daryl's right to living in the type of moral community he wants to be in; where the common majority does not wish to have same sex marriages amongst them?

See how easy it is for you to miss the rights of those others while you are caught up with your liberal agenda, davie?

BS

Now you're back to the same argument used for racial segregation.   Does "where the common majority does not wish to have negros amongst them" sound familiar?

Yea. Except we are not talking race, are we?

Yea, but it's the same argument.   It was worng then and it is wrong now.

Although it won't create a family of a mother father and children, it won't destroy one either.   If two people of the same sex marry in Iowa, it won't effect my family relationships one bit.   Even if they live next door.

Society does not bestow the benefits you liberals are using for your justification for your cause. The big bad capitalist companies do.

Bs

I know big bad capitalist companies control much of the government and economy but I thought we, society, still contributed something.

Who decided married couples could file joint returns?

Obviuously, a regulatory insitution.

That means nothing.   The regulatory institution got it's power from somewhere.   The people.

Not "overwhelming" enough for you, mal? OK...let's use your messiah's (you know, the US president from Kenya) words....a "shellacking" defeat.

Just for you, mallcontent. I looked up the definition of the word in online dictionaries your president from Kenya used:

(b. To defeat decisively.)

(: to beat severely.)
( The action of annihilating, destroying, or otherwise beating your opponent in an abusive, sadistic, or embarassing manner.)
(a complete defeat or beating.)
(A heavy defeat.)

"And -- and that's something that -- now, I'm not recommending for every future president that they take a shellacking like I did last night."

Seems like "overwhelming" is pretty synonymous with "shellacking", mall.
(2. decisive defeat: an easy or decisive defeat.)
(A heavy defeat, drubbing, or beating; used particularly in sports and political contexts.)

We're talking about three Iowa Supreme Court judges and you bring up 435 nation wide Congressional races to try to prove your point.   No cnnection.

If you think you can convince the IRS to allow your pet to file joint income tax return, you might have a good reason to try it.   What other reason do you have?

What the heck does this post mean?  Please expatiate. What other reasons for what?  You are starting to make less sense than usual.

Being allowed to file joint tax returns is one reason people of the same sex want their right to be married upheld.   I thought that was a given by now.

"What other reason do you have?"   That question is for you.
