I think it's your statement that's riddled in stupidity. First Doctor don't make bogus claims to create fear to secure votes, but lets assume they did. Do you think a Doctor who said you were dying cancer and could not wait for a massive surgery, would not be held to a degree of accountability when it was found out that not only was he wrong but he malipulated test results to mislead you?
