Does anyone out there think we should ban together and try to contract with one particular trash collector so that all trash is picked up on the same day of the week and maybe even at a group discount.
Ever notice! There always seem to be trash cans on the curbs and only because we have several different companies who have different scheduling pick up days.

I am in favor of it.

It couldn't hurt to try.

I am considering switching from Action Disposal to Round Rock Refuse. I will be calling around Mon. 13th or soon thereafter and I can post rates. I am paying $54.00 for 3 months and then $12.00 recycling and total bill comes to $71.45. I probaby could take my own recycling to Ecology Action downtown and I dont really need weekly on this.

I think this is a great idea. Plus good practice for 2-3 yrs down the road when, hopefully, we get together for contracting for our 'septic-switch'.

One thing I want from my trash collection is to be able to put large items out- not just once a year or so. My first company- now ISEI, quit taking these things with no notice of the change. The company I use now- Waste Management- will take these with notice. But no extra charge. I have put out large rugs, 6 ft. boards from an old fence. I have no way to haul these myself and don't want them in my yard for a year.
