Diley Road Referendum


Maybe Pickerington city council should hire legal huckster, Don McTigue, to thwart the Diley Road referendum submitted by disgruntled citizen, John Darby. McTigue was able to toss countless petitions filed by Pickerington citizens in years passed.

McTigue is usually hired when clients want to stop the citizenry from voting on a particular issue. McTigue?’s magic isn?’t 100%, however. He was unsuccessful in his petty arguments against letting citizens vote on the Ohio Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage.

But when it comes to blocking a handful of citizens from exercising their right to vote, especially citizens with little or no money to help defend themselves in court, he?’s pretty reliable.

Election Fraud

I think the city should go even further and charge these people with election fraud. Clearly they have a right to oppose an issue with a referendum. However to make public statements that are bold face lies then that makes the issue a true fraud on the part of these circulators. If they are telling these signers the same lies they are being quoted in the paper with then they should stop now while they have a chance.

As shown above Bill Wright and Mike Sabatino are just as guilty of Malfeasance as only member of council could ever be. They are creating the original misinformation for their own purposes.

Stand up and do something

Malfeasance in office is certainly grounds for recall. Isn't it time to start the process in tendem with the referendum?

You know damned well that if the 4 majority had let the Diley project slip through their hands they would have been charged by the minority three with malfeasance and recall processed.

The referendum petitioners have hired McTigue, wonder who is paying for that? Does anyone know if any developers are funding this referendum effort and paying this $200 per hour attorney? If it smells like dead fish, it usually is dead fish.
