The role of Where We Live Club:
Leisure World Seal Beach is a retirement community of some 9000 residents, founded in 1962, age 55 and above, some working many retired. We are a self governing community within the city of Seal Beach CA., wherein we hold parts of 2 city council districts. Needless to say our influence in community affairs is considerable.
Health considerations are tatamount here, and we have a medical center here with a number of doctors and services. Within our walls we have a number of activities scattered around in a number of multi-use buildings. Some 200 clubs of one kind or another exist for our recreational and educational purposes. We are also a community of people from all parts of the world.
One such club is the "Where We Live Club" which focuses on community wide affairs bringing us up to date with current events, modern life styles, needed physiclal improvements, costs related to ever changing government rules and regulations and more.
