I have committed myself to just being a reader, but after reading your posts I wanted to say a few things to you. first off I can not believe someone else understands that America is a republic and not a democracy. That we as citizens of this great republic are sovereign individuals.(Republican form of government acknowledges that the sovereign power is founded in the people, individually, not in the collective or whole body of free citizens, as in a democratic form. Thus no majority can deprive a minority of their sovereign rights and powers.)
I would like to thank you for your service both in the military and as a peace officer. I would also like to express my sorrow and condolences to the fallen officer and his family. I agree with everything you posted and only wish I had the skills in which I might be able to express my views and opinions as you have! There is no need for me to even try to add to this subject as you have made a perfect point.
I would like to add this one bit of information though. There is a reason our founding fathers put the amendments in the order they did. the importance of the amendment to our liberties.The first amendment being the most important, the right to free speech. Basically the right to speak against the government that we the people have giving the power to govern US! The second amendment is for we the people to defend the first amendment from a government that is trying to take it away. The rest of the amendments are for fair treatment of the people by the government! without the first or second amendments we the people would not enjoy the rest of the amendments, period!!
First off, you have to look at the bill of rights as a tool to control the government. To keep this monster in line and under control, for without the bill of rights you would have an oligarchy (a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.) as in china, Russia, Venezuela and north Korea. What is happening here in America! the upper class is slowly turning this great country into an oligarchy, rule by the rich and powerful. With laws that they have passed like the military commission act, patriot act and fisa. the slow elimination of our liberties in the name of homeland security. The very same sh$t hitler said in the 30's. Only his terrorist were communists!!! All one has to do is read the federalist papers to get an Ideal what the founding fathers were thinking! The bill of rights does not give us our rights, GOD does. The bill of rights gives the government the limited power it is supposed to have to govern US, period!! Big government means less freedom! The government that the founding fathers had planned was a self rule government. which maens YOU be responsible for your own self and not depend on government to do it for you! Basically for more local and less federal! Our government has slowly been taken over by an international banking cartel since the begining ot the 20th century.
