Well, I put all my energy this year into the kids' costumes, and my youngest brother-in-law's.  They had a terrific time trick or treating.  Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well, hope that clears up soon.  And, yes, it's really nice when everybody gives the bickering a rest for a while, unfortunately, it's always temporary.  Sigh.

That pumpkin roll recipe sounds like a real winner.  If you still feel like posting it, I'd love to try it!!  I think that one of the things I love best about the holidays-all the cooking and baking that comes along with it.  Got a few recipes of my own I'd love to share, I just have to find them.  I have the ingredients memorised, I just eyeball the amounts.

I thought that now might be a good time to remind people of this thread from a couple of months ago, and in particular the comments above.

I've had a quick glance at the logs and don't see any bugs regarding the flagging/reporting system.  If most of a user's posts on this board involve personal attacks in negative threads, their respect rating will drop.  When it drops far enough, they get suspended.  If that continues, they get banned.  Same for registering multiple accounts.

Positive (popular, non-reported) topics/posts increase your respect rating, as does accurate reporting (so do flag negative posts, but don't just report every post by someone you personally don't like).  Increased respect rating means your reports carry more weight, you don't get suspended at the drop of a hat, etc.

I recognize that for some of you, the personal attacks are "fun."  Unfortunately they make this a nasty, unwelcoming place for the rest of your friends and neighbors and that's not what NL is about.  Nedl has commented that some other boards welcome that kind of "fun" - please feel free to post links to those boards so those folks who enjoy name-calling and personal attacks know where to take their fights.

Again, we continue to welcome discussions on all topics, even difficult ones like politics, and you're welcome to make negative comments about Obama, McCain, Bush, Wal-Mart, Neighborhood Link, etc.  Just don't take it personally if other people have different opinions.

I did that and susan couldnt tell me why i was suspended. you people are doing a great job of taking care of chosen...he antagonizes people and people strike back only to be suspended.......................keep up the great job of covering his butt.

I'm just guessing here, but maybe Chosen obeys the rules. I don't call people by their real Names, (I know many) I don't add extra letters to their names, and I don't make things personal.

There seems to be some error in this method. Either that or you pick and choose the people you reply too. Married showed me her request to you. It's #79666 if you want to read it. And there has been no reply according to her. I personally know her not to lie.
