Context galore.

How is it that as long as it's another's "parachute", it's just fine? Isn't context as important tothose myriad of points being hammered into weapons of solid merit? Doesn't duplicity have a place among the fervor caused by context's abuses among our great leaders and supporters. It's hard to ignore it's relevence once it's been drawn away, refused by the cons. and/or refuted by the pros. or visa versa. So, be that as it may, it still remains relevant especially while discussing political or religious foundation.

I must remain constant to my faith, my core belief in certainty of the human condition, but will admit an error, and flex with the correctness of other's notions that I might have been. All I can offer is that which I believe and understand when I say that "guts is another name for stupidity" Contextually, that is correct and incorrect in another "context" Like Diogenes, I look for that one in a world that offers truth and honesty. " I watched Timmy leap from the top of the stump with umbrella in hand, nothing was broken, but I have to say, that kids' "got GUTS." I think you knew exactly what was meant all along. Your father's guts for country are not those of Timmy's guts of idiocy. So how was Carter so spineless/gutless?

Looks like we might be needing some walkway salt tonight.

God Bless.

You can have all the lame-ass Carters you want, Lstreat...and you even admitted his liberal congress never was any good. Therein lies the problem. Liberals never hold their own accountable. This current miserable congress made tons of election promises two and three years ago. What change did they bring?; look at their spending that they control; look at our economy that they have some control of. What have they done about gas prices? Nothing. Nada.

No president can spend a dime, increase taxes, or give taxes back without congress approving it, under the basic rules. You'll see the true definition of a puppet after nobama takes office.

You are wrong about Carter. I served a part of my military service under him. He tried the military and could not hack being an officer after some seven years. He hated the military and us. He screwed with our pay and benefits packages.

And, it was no coincidence that Iran released the 52 hostages on the same day Carter left the presidency.

Yes.  We've had it so good these past 8 years haven't we?  Let's have a show of hands.  Who believes like bigbrother and darylmaxen the past 8 years have been wonderful?

I tell you what.  Those 52 hostages?  They returned upright and walking.  With all their limbs intact.  Pyschologically, they were probably just as destroyed as our brave fighting men and women who are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oh how the past 8 years have been wonderful.  So why should anyone want to change?  You can have all the lame ass Bushes, Cheneys, Rumsfeldts, and Gonzalez's you want.  Incompetence knows no bounds!

Hey, stenchy...glad to see you are puking over Nobama keeping members of your failed Bush administration. Wasn't quite the change you were looking for, was it?  he he he he

Now Big B. You,  Max, Its, High R. and others are strong prolific posters among others that gain ground at times with many good arguments/discussions and such, but, Honestly. "Puking over Obama keeping some" of the Bush camp? I cannot see how that's a bad thing for the most part. We gotta keep centered. Not all his family were thought of as bad. I think it is a good idea to actually reach across as he said he would. It might actually work out best for this nation. We tend to be the "canary in the mine" for the rest of the world. Even Hitler had detractors who actually felt he needed to go. IN A BIG WAY TOO. "

Failure depends upon a plethora of hindsight and outcomes. I have stated in the past and still do, Bush obviously has some matters to deal with once he's out of office, but his legacy cannot be decided just yet. The writer will have a tough time with it perhaps, but we cannot ignore some of his strengths, though even many conservatives tried with all their might to distance themselves from GW this past year. Call it anything but smartand one would be lying to one's self. The Dems need to tread lightly with many issues other than support for the Iraq mess. That will always be GW's portfolio in spite of the fact that primarily Congress supported the (Reports presented them by the president) and went with his desire. Though 25 dems said no, only one repub said no. Arguments? Claims are- warrantless wiretapping, lying about yellow cake, outing a CIA agent, reacting upon uncertain intelligence, torturing detainees, firing unbiased federal prosecutors, hiring biased prosecutors, destroying CIA evidence, and what ever else comes along, will be some of those other legacy issues that once sorted out will either hurt or help his historical thumbs up. I like his moxy, his down home demeanor, his "I don't give a *&%$ attitude at times, and most of all his sneaky giggle laugh and squinty little rodent eyes. Cute, sort of.

God Bless.
