68% and only 3 days on the job. Kinda like giving a highschool student a passing grade just because he/she can spell his/her name correctly.

The Gallup Poll on Saturday released the first job-approval rating for President Obama, based on interviews during his first three full days in office: 68 percent.

Now that he's in office, Obama's approval ratings are starting to normalize, as partisan back-and-forth picks up. Just a week ago, Gallup found an astonishing 83 percent approval of how he has handled his transition, showing he had even won over most Republicans.

The new job-approval figure puts him at the upper end of opening poll numbers for presidents, but doesn't set a record.

For a long time I have avoided anything that could be considered political but now find I need to voice my opinion whether anyone agrees or not.

I once hoped that someone could come off the streets and become President of the United States.  It would seem that Barack Obamma is as close as I will get with that having served only or almost served one term as a Senator.

If he is going to turn this country around he cannot afford too many mistakes so I am judging and rating him myself.  So far I have four issues with his decision making and using ten decisions favorably or unfavforabloy with each worth 10%.  My personal favorable rating for this President is 60%

Everyone should realize that decisions a President makes are based on information provided to him by close aides and individuals in his cabinet.  No man is capable of knowing what to do in all situations and becoming President does not make one a God.  Personally I believe George Bush was a good President who had many difficult decisions to make and he has stated he regrets some of those decisions.  We love our President when things are going well and turn thumbs down when they are not.  I believe he did a good job regardless of public opinion.  Now, let's see how our New Presdient can do.

I think I am feeling pissed off right now.  I used the spell checker and it obviously did not work.  And this laptop is still making typing hard for me.  Or possibly I need to get my cataract removed.  What a way to start my day!
