HEY DF-

No brainer here!  YOUR house - YOUR RULES!  I have friends with kids.  They know that when they come to my house- I rule.  I used to smoke- & I think I was a considerate smoker.  If I was @ a non-smokers home or in a restraunt w/ a non smoker - I was polite.  If they came to my home... sometimes I went w/ the flow & sometimes I didn't.  It was their choice - they knew I might light up.

There are parents that believe that it is ok to allow a child to jump on my furniture or throw a tantrum in my house because I won't allow the TV on.  TOO BAD, SO SAD!  My House - My Rules!  I gave them the same respect!  rulesTheir house - their  rules.

If they don't want their children around second hand smoke - c'mon - we both get it!  We make a decision & let others know.  "I won't smoke in your home because I respect your decision.  Please afford me the same courtesy.  If you don't want to expose your children to MY smoke- leave them at home".

If you want your friends to come to your home;  knowing their feelings - do what they ask./ No hard feelings.  Smoke in the garage...or wherever.

PUT YOUR CARDS ON THE TABLE!  Cool  They will appreciate it & there won't be any hard feelings.  (AND IF THERE IS...?  dump the jerks!)  ROTFL!
