Are you a smoker xmc? Just curious.

Yeah I am a smoker, but not one of those "in your face" types.. I keep it to myself and dont smoke around those who dont like it. I will light up at friends houses if they smoke and say its ok. But for the most part I tend to not do it around others.

Something funny,,,  I can remember the days of going to see Dr. Klein and he always had a smoke in his mouth, even when he would examine you. He had an ashtray in every exam room and in the waiting areas. When he would send ya over to the hospital for xrays or whatever all the docs and nurses were smokin it up.. You would walk in the door and the waiting rooms would be a haze of smoke.. But that was long ago when cigarettes werent bad for your health according to the surgeon general....

I do still crave, but I can fight it off by changing what I'm doing for a short peroid of time.

Every time the state or feds need money, they raise cigarette taxes.  Smoking is a major contributing factor to heart disease (which is the number one killer in the U.S.), but according to the CDC it is below obesity on the list of contributing factors.

I propose that for once, instead of taxing cigarettes, they consider taxing Big Macs, doughnuts, beer, potato chips,  etc.  Let fat people carry some of the tax burden for a change.
