Good morning All!
You know---- we got home merely an hour ago. Had to make an emergency trip to son's abode last week, and though we heard that it was to snow again(oddly enough in Winter) it just started here. We said a little prayer along the road and well---THANK YOU LORD.
I fully agree with you fellas, but find it strange that this type of scrutiny was absent(primarily) when GW signed the 852 Billion $ banking bailout in Nov. outside of the Republican dissent (that I first applauded-until) long enough to add another 152 Billion$ in tax give-a-ways THAT HELPED NONE BUT THOSE PLATINUM BANKERS and share-holders. While disagreeing with either give-a-way, I have to say that between the two, this one might actually do some good. But, nothing will get our economy rolling again unless our genius electeds close the borders to corporate gifting NOW! This mess gets us as close to Socialism as we have ever been. I heard recently a suggestion that we should rewrite the script of lady liberty's generosity or remove it. It's so easy to look down the pike "A finger pointing we will go" but it, the true fault, never really lies where it should, with the fools who re-wrote the rules in the first place on both sides of the party lines. You ever heard that dark ages phrase? "Unlock her belt and miss promiscuity will play"? Well that's what they have done, they unlocked those financial belts and let em play. Why do we blame the parents of misbehaved children? BUT----not those in charge when they take away the rules? I stopped wearing my "Rose Colored Glasses decades ago and CHOSE TO HOLD THEM All ACCOUNTABLE. I sure wish we elected a more diverse congress than the one winged eagle we now have. The only thing we can count on now is two years of free wheeling and a new republican power in 2010. Plus a long several more miserable years of the worst economy since 1932. Hang on folks! it is going to be ONE ROUGH RIDE no matter who leads us.
