Gta1 mentioned GM this morning and the kind of cars they made and it got me to thinking, What was the first car you owned?  Mine was a 1957 Nash Ambassador Custom.  It was a great car and I have fond memories of it.  One day I hope to have one as a collector car but there is little chance for that.  So tell me what was your first car?

65 Plymouth Belvedere II, Light Blue, lift kit shackles on the rear leaf springs, oversized rear tires, 318, automatic. Not a hot rod at all, but very nice for a kid's first car.

Remember when you did not need a license to drive farm pickups and vehicles if you worked for a farmer. I did. You had to be at least 14.

My first car was a '51 Pontiac 4 door, inline 8 engine, hydramatic tranny. Big and comfortable but about as fast as a drowsy turtle. I bought it after I graduated highschool and went to work. Had a lot of fun with that car in spite of it's old fart image.
