Ahhhh.... the old Neighborhood Link is back.....

What an ignorant, arrogant, and delusional statement. This is exactly the attitude that the Republicans had in 2004 and we can all see where it got them electorally. The only thing more ridiculous than this post...

you can only hope to reach a level of ignorance and arrogance...you remain only a pompous ass, and "jesus" as a delusion speaks for itself. the 95% conservative clique here (otherwise known as Neighborhood link) needs to have stick poked at them every once in awhile.

apart from bush's failure in starting a war based on lies and bringing our economy to the brink of bankruptcy, the demographic worm has turned against the republican party. the future of the GOP as a minority party is very likely.

And again you have proved my point. You assume I'm a member of the RNC although I'm not.

Asssumptions and shallow accusations is all that ever comes from the left.

Please amuse me some more!

OMG! You caught me. You're not a member of the RNC! Forget all that other stuff. Just like a typical conservative... "hey, guys! look over here! Don't pay any attention to the fact that my 'majority' got its butt trounced in the last election. Don't pay any attention to the polls saying that my "majority" has an approval rating in the teens and twenties. No... just pay attention to the fact that I'm not a member of the RNC. Yeah... that'll prove everything else I've said correct.

And all this talk of revolution? Really? You're going to take up arms against your country? Well, good luck with that. I'm sure it will go well for you. Pretty soon we'll be addressing you as "Your Eminence, IMC." Riiiiight.....

Oh, and one last thing.... "shallow accusations?" I said you listened to Rush and Glenn and you called me a retard. But I'm the one making accusations. Sure. I'm afraid you need to adjust the tin-foil on your hat, there bub. It seems a little tight. Take that however, you want. Feel free to respond with something witty, like "Ha! Wrong again! I don't wear tin-foil!" That'll show me.

On to lts:

Yes, one day I hope to be as ignorant as you. I said this to the conservatives in 2004 (as I'm sure most of us did) and I'll say it to you again: Keep thumping your chest and rubbing it in their faces (or as you say poking them with a stick) and it will come back to bite you. People don't like jerks rubbing their faces in their defeats. That's why the Republicans lost control - abusing their power and berating the other side. Nobody likes a trash-talking thug. If we (the liberals) hope to retain this power for any amount of time, we'd better start doing what we said we would and being businesslike about it. Otherwise we can kiss it all goodbye. As inept as the Republicans seem right now, they will regroup and rebrand and we'd better be ready for it with the people on our side. So call me a pompous ass all you want. In the end, I'll be the one who was right. Majorities now are a nice thing, but majorities into the foreseeable future are what really counts.

You know; I have always found it interesting when liberals tell others who to listen to or not to listen to. Oreilly, Rush, Hannity, Beck, etc., etc.

Oreilly has the number one rated cable news analogy show and Limbaugh just signed a mult-year/multi-million dollar contract just last year. Their books are always number one on the NY Times bestseller lists...but yet liberals discount what they have to say and want others not to listen to them. Interesting.

Noted, of course, is the fact that Allan Colmes is a quitter, and Air America was a dismal liberal failure that had to be removed from the air because there were no listeners nor sponsors to run commercials.

And their free advice? STFU.

Nice.

You know, a liberal doesn't tell others who to listen to.  We believe that the majority of people over time will recognize truth from fiction and the appropriate consequences will follow.  When people lie for their own benefit, truth will come out.  Do we feel passionately and want to express those feelings - of course we do.  It is called Democracy.  When one "side" or perspective is the only one that is given voice and any contrary view is blacklisted for advertising as Air America was by many Corporate sponsors- There was a list circulated that expressed that view to radio stations that broadcast Air America programming - just do a Google search for Air America blacklist and pick your own website for proof.  Silencing silly discourse, or at least labeling it as such is one thing, but trifling with the views of the majority is a dangerous thing to be doing in times when the right is seen as being draconian.  I am a liberal, I believe in the 10 Commandments, the sanctity of life- but a woman's right to make an INFORMED choice, in being my brothers keeper and in the protection of the minority against the oppression of the minority.  And yes, I do believe in the right to keep and bear arms.  Because a number of our citizens need to harvest both fish and game to survive.  When our military has the level of armaments that we have all paid for there is NO CHANCE that I or any other rational human would posit that our ability to keep arms keeps us save from government incursion.  We need due process, we need courts, we need the ACLU.

For 8 long years I have silently viewed this site, constantly re-evaluating my estimation of the average intelligence out there.  But a majority of voters indicated that while you can fool people some of the time - you can't fool them all the time.  I don't care if you listen to the tools of the right- They are wrong, they don't check facts and if you want your acumen to be measured by how much of their belefs you can spew - fine.  I prefer facts.  Something the American people seem to be preferring these days.  When your tour guide is telling you everything is fine and your bus is hurtling off the cliff you can believe them or you can check facts and bail!
