IronJack is correct!!! (because he's my brother!) Believe me, if you never had a MaidRite during the 1940s or 50s, you have never had a MaidRite. Cheese on a MaidRite? God help us! Anybody remember the TasteRite? That little cafe had a very good loose meat sandwich...nothing like a MaidRite, but very good.
The orignal maidrite was served with mustard, pickles and onions, nothing else. Depending on who served it to you, it could be a little juicy which added alot to the flavor. I prefer mine that way; a little juicy, with mustard, pickles and lots of onions......no ketsup.
But i wasnt born til the 70's.......LOL....
