Muscatine

Most of the people i know running vista hate it and have had multiple problems with it.....and those of you that have had good luck with it ...thats great ...but when vista comes apart she is a nightmare.....about once a month i have to restore my computer ......vista refuses to play nice with anything on my system.....i had to do major upgrades right off the bat just to get it to run right...it was slow ...its a memory hog.......my system with xp will run circles around this one....my xp comp runs an AMD sempron...and this one with vista is an AMD dual core....the comp shops i talked to ..in which Pasha was one of them recomended going to xp and getting rid of vista.....

Maybe my difference is the Vista came loaded on the new computer, as opposed to doing an upgrade. that could be a big difference.

Secondly, for the person who's wife is stuck with the Outlook Express issues; I would say delete the outlook express program if you don't want to use it and use another email processing system. I have always not liked  O.Express; but I have used Outlook (only) for the past five years with no problems at all.

I'm a network admin and have been using Vista on a couple of my pc's since it came out and yes Vista was trouble before its first service pack and I suspect that's why most people are frustrated with it. Properly patched Vista runs as good as any of it's previous versions (barring ME) and can be very stable if configured correctly and run on hardware that can handle it. Here's a clue, whatever Microsoft recommends for hardware, double it and you will run better.
