If congress did hold a moment of silence for every person killed in Iraq and Afganistan it would sure help the country.  The silence would last a few weeks and that would be that much less time they would be screwing us.

Very well said.....so many of us have been thinking this but are not able to put it into such words.

If congress did hold a moment of silence for every person killed in Iraq and Afganistan it would sure help the country.  The silence would last a few weeks and that would be that much less time they would be screwing us.

AMEN! Furthermore, we don't even get kissed before they screw us! But of course they do call when they need our votes and/or contributions for their re-election campaign.

I'm sure that while they were 'silent' they would be dreaming up new ways to screw us and lie to us, not as reverance to the fallen servicemen/women.

A soldier is like a working person, they get honored once a year and always have.
