Anybody having any luck getting their cardboard picked up now that we supposedly have curbside cardboard recycling? I put some out right after it started and it was picked up.

Last week I put out 3 boxes (broken down) sitting between 2 bags of garbage so it wouldn't blow away. Well, they picked up the garbage and at noon the cardboard was still there. By evening when I got home, one piece had blown someplace, one was in the street and the other was still there. I figured maybe it would be picked up the next day, but it rained and turned it all into mush. Finally I picked it up and stuffed it in a garbage bag. So much for recycling.

Well, I tried again this week...put out one box with one bag of garbage. Garbage was picked up, cardboard wasn't and it's still sitting out there. I THOUGHT we were paying for extra personnel to come around and pick it up. Do they not pick up if only a couple of people in the neighborhood put it out? I noticed my neighbor picked up the boxes they'd set out and put it back with their trash cans.

I didn't get a chance to call today, but I certainly will tomorrow. Great service!

I have to agree with this one that the city isnt doing much of a job wiht the cardboard thing. The neighbors put out their trash including 2 pizza boxes. The boxes were left on the curb only to end up in my yard that morning. Thanks city for nothing. It isnt going to work folks. What a waste of money.

I have placed cardboard out and it has been takenevery time. your neighbors cardboard may not have been picked up because of what they put out. Pizza boxes (take out pizza) are not recyclable.
