Tell you what, hechta. Here's a whole list of nobodies. You probably don't want to waste your time with it, though 'cos it includes nobodies like Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, Teddy Roosevelt... You know, real losers.
Typical conservative. Can't stand to see America honored (unless it's a conservative who can take credit for it) and looks down his nose at those who give a damn about the well being of others.
If you would have read my post and actually grasped the concept of what I was saying Hey-Sus you would have realized that I said they no longer represent what they once did. I even said that at the point Araft was awarded one the award became a joke. So Martin Luther, Mother Teresa and Teddy predated that. I would like to point out for your reference as well when listing off Americans that I supposedly look down my conservative nose at; Mother Teresa was not an American. She was Albanian with Indian citizenship.

Wow JOS, I'm left wondering what event prompted this. I consider myself a conservative, but certainly don't hate America. I, like most of the people in our country, am not griping or complaining about the Nobel Peace Prize. It became a sham years ago. We simply don't understand the logic or justification behind awarding it to this President. On what is it based?
As for the Olympics, Chicago certainly wasn't the right place at the right time, and the President and Oprah simply don't carry the clout that they think they do. Certainly it would have been nice to think the windy city could have handled all the hoopla given their political base of graft and corruption, but it just wasn't to be. Rio will be fine. Again, I'm not cheering or taunting, merely observing.
This coming from you, a person who usually seems to have a pretty good grasp on reality, is a bit of a surprise.
On a different note....don't know if you enjoy the occasional "fruity" beer. I usually don't, but had the chance to try a Blue Paw Wheat Ale from the Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland, Maine. Fantastic wheat ale with a touch of Maine wild blueberries. |

As for beer... I'm not usually a fan of "fruity" beers either, but I do like wheat ales so I might have to give it a try. If you don't mind me asking, where'd you find it at? Speaking of wheat... If it ever warms up again to where you get the urge for a light, crisp, refreshing beer, you might look into Big Sky Brewery's Trout Slayer Ale. It's a filtered wheat ale that's about as pale as Miller Lite but has a lot more flavor. It's the same brewery that produces Moose Drool brown ale. Mmmmmmm... Moose Drool...
