You'll have to excuse me, gta1. I guess I didn't realize that you were the lone Republican around here that was critical of Bush's decision to abandon Afghanistan for Iraq. Ya' know, it's funny how Republicans have 20/20 hindsight now yet were the first to label anyone who dared to criticize the Bush administration in those early years after 9/11 an "America hater. I guess it's good to know that you were an America-hater with the rest of us.

But hey, let's get on to the other ridiculousness in your post, eh?

Reinforcements? You mean reinforcements for the troops that Bush left high and dry when he went into Iraq? Truth is, I believe Obama already has sent some reinforcements.

Does anybody else see the irony in these two statements? Who was responsible for us being in two places at once gta1? Oh wait... it was the man you claim "had his priorities straight." Bwahahahahahahahaha! You slay me, gta1. That's comedy gold, right there.

Nope, but I see you're more outraged about troop deaths under Obama than you were under Bush despite the fact that Bush is the one who left the troops depleted in Afghanistan when he pulled out for Iraq. Don't worry, though. We're all used to the Republican hypocrisy around here.

Ah, now here's an interesting conundrum. Hey, bigbrother, pay attention here because this sort of has to do with your post too. Let's look at this "the surge worked statement, shall we? There are some, like gta1 and bigbrother and even Obama, who will argue that the "surge" worked. There are others, however, that would argue that the true turning point in Iraq was the Sunni Awakening which began before the increase in troop levels. BUT, what's indisputable is that the "surge" would have never even been necessary had Bush listened to those like Shinseki and Powell who were recommending higher troop levels to begin with. So if we're going to play this game of blaming Obama for the recent deaths in Afghanistan because he won't raise the troop levels at the drop of a hat, then I think it's only fair that we ask how many troops died while waiting around for Bush to increase the troop levels in Iraq? Strangely enough, I don't seem to recall any of the conservatives around here complaining about that.

So, gta1, when you make a statement like "[Obama] wont send the men and women needed to achieve that goal," I guess I'll just have to assume that back in the day you were just as critical of the man you say "had his priorities straight."

Bush, while the size of the agency's staff has only increased by 5.3 percent........

 nobama is hated more than even Bush was.........the liberals and media tell us how much he's loved......

And yes after reading my statement...your right it was a golden comedy moment...guess i should type before my meds kick in......but hey even libs have them moments....the best in my book would have to be "yes i voted for the war....before i voted against it"

Ok haysus...why dont u condemn obama for the casulties in Afghanistan...the same way u condemned Bush for the casulties in Iraq? Afterall obama ramped up the war in Afghanistan saying its one we wont lose...but waffled on the reinforcements.....the last i read was that he was still trying to decide what to do.......if he finally sent reinforcements thats great..

If he did as u said, and sent more reinforcements into Afghanistan would that affect his nobel peace prize?

Something else to ponder, while i believe sadam should have been taken out in Desert Storm.....wasnt there something with the coalition that kept us from taking out sadam then?

I'm sure if hiroad or big bro read this they may be able to shed some light on this.....

by the way haysus i never posted an opinion on Bush pulling troops from Afghanistan....you libs crucified Bush daily about the deaths of our soldiers in Iraq.....but rarely are the deaths reported since obama took office......if u condemn Bush, then u must also condemn obama............i have the utmost respect for our men and women in the armed forces...but just like them i understand that war brings death...but when our troops need reinforcements and the president waffles and we lose troops because of it...then he's worthy of condemnation......

Just another dumb observation...but does anyone find it funny that michael moore chose to create a movie  or capitalize on bashing capitalism....that would be another one of those golden comedy moments that haysus talked about.......JMHO
